Create a Video Sequence

 

Drag & drop video clips from the Media library to the timeline, or right-click the video clips in the Media zone and choose ‘Add to Project’ to import them to timeline. To combine several video clips together, add all of them to the timeline. Then left-click the clip, hold the mouse and move the clip forward or backward to adjust its sequence.

Speed up/Rotate/Reverse/Enhance Video Clips

Choose the video clip in the timeline and click ‘Edit’ button on the toolbar, or right-click the clip and select ‘Edit’ from the context menu, there will pop up a window where you can edit video (speed up or slow down, rotate, flip, reverse, adjust background color: choose color from templates, add blur effect, or add custom image), adjust color correction, and set audio effect.

Tab ‘Color Correction’ to adjust contrast, saturation, brightness, hue, highlight, and shadow so as to enhance video from all aspects.

Then go to ‘Audio’ to set related parameters. Drag the slider from left to right, and vice versa to turn up or turn down audio volume. Meanwhile, you can add Fade in or Fade out effect to audio. If you want to enhance audio more effectively, tick Voice Enhancement (for VIP).

Split Video

Drag your video to the timeline section. Select the video and move the playhead to where you want to split. Click the button of “Split” in the toolbar or right-click your video and choose “Split”. Then one video will become two clips. You can repeat this operation and divide a video into many parts.

Delete Video Clips from the Timeline

Choose the unwanted video clip and click ‘Delete’ button on the toolbar, or right-click the unwanted clip and select ‘Delete’ to cut out the part from the timeline.

Trim Video

Trimming a video means cutting video clips you don’t want. So in the first place, move the video to the timeline section, separate preferred video clips from unwanted ones. To do this, you need to select the whole video in the timeline first, move the playhead to where you want to split, and click the button of “Split” in the toolbar. Then right-click the unwanted video clip and delete it. If there are several video clips you don’t want, split your file repeatedly and delete unwanted parts until achieve your goal. The marked difference between “Split” and “Trim” is “split is split” while “trim is split adding delete”.  

Crop Video

Drag your file to the timeline section first, select it and click the button of “Crop”. Then there will be a box on your video which can be seen in the left picture. At this moment, move the box or adjust the area you want by dragging the corner handles. In this way, you finish cropping a video by getting the part you want based on your preferred aspect ratio. If you want the aspect ratio the same as the original video, tick off the box before “Keep aspect ratio”. Then your selected area will be displayed based on the original aspect ration. Finally, click “OK”.

Add Mosaic to Video

Import your file to Video Editor first. Drag it to the timeline section. Select it and click the button of “Mosaic” in the toolbar, or right-click the video and choose “Mosaic”. Click “Add” and there will be a yellow rectangle in the left picture. Move the rectangle to where you want to blur and adjust its size. Then this mosaic will appear from the beginning to the end of your video. Click “OK” and you can preview the effect by playing it in the right window.

Mute Video

Import your file to Video Editor. Drag it to the timeline section or position the cursor on the imported video and click the “+” icon. Then select the video in the timeline, right-click it and choose “Audio Detach”. You will see an audio track displayed in the timeline. Right-click the audio track and delete it. Then the whole audio will disappear. You have succeeded in muting the whole video in this way.

How to mute a part of a video? 

Also drag the imported video to the timeline section. Select the video and click the button of “Set duration” in the toolbar. Then press the “Mic” icon to mute this period of video. Export it and only this part of video will be kept and it is mute.  

Add Text to Video

Import your file to Video Editor. Drag it to the Timeline section or click the “+” icon around the imported video. Go ahead and press the button of “Text” on the left. There are 43 video effects available. Choose your favorite text style, download and add it to your video. After you click the “+” icon on the downloaded text, the text will appear in the timeline immediately. Then you need to set the duration of both your video and the text effect. Select them respectively and click the button of “Set duration” in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can set their duration by putting the cursor to the edge of each file in the timeline. When you see a double arrow, move it left or right to extend or narrow the time duration.

Then double-click the text track in the timeline section and a new panel will appear. At this moment, you can set the style and motion of your text, such as adjusting its fonts, size, type, align, opacity and color. Afterwards, click the button of “Preview” and check the video effects and export it.

Note: you can add more than one texts to your video.

Add Filter to Video Clips

Tab ‘Filter’ in the left panel, and you will see the filter templates. Choose your desired Filter style, drag it to the Filter timeline, or click the ‘+’ button, even right-click the filter and choose ‘Add to Project’ to apply the chosen filter to your video.

Select the Filter in the timeline, move the mouse over the edge of the Filter til a double arrow appears. Press and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse left or right to set the beginning or end time of the filter. You can also choose the filter in the timeline and click ‘Set Duration’ (clock icon) on the toolbar to set the beginning or end time.

If you aim to add multiple filters to different parts of the video, just repeat the above steps.

Add Transition to Video Clips

 

Tab ‘Transition’ in the left panel, choose your desired transition style, drag it to the end of the video that will transit to another video clip, or right-click the chosen style and select ‘+ Add to Project’ to apply the transition effect to the video clip. If you want to add different transition effects to video clips, just choose ‘Apply random transitions’. To apply the same transition effect to the clip, simply select the transition template and click ‘Apply to all’.

If you want to add transition effects to different parts of the video, just repeat the above steps.

Add Overlay to Video

Drag an imported file to the timeline section. Click the “Overlay” option on the left. Download your favorite effect and add it to your video. Select the overlay in the timeline section and click the “clock” icon to set its duration. Alternatively, move the cursor to the edge of this overlay. When you see a double arrow, move it to the left or right to adjust its duration. You can follow the same method to set the duration of your imported video as well. Then double-click or right-click the overlay in the timeline and edit it using provided options. Preview and export it.

Note: you can add more than one overlays to your video.

Add Elements

Import your video and drag it to the timeline section. Click the button of “Elements” on the left. Download and add this element to your video. When you see this element in the timeline, select it and click the button of “Set duration” in the toolbar. Alternatively, you can move your cursor to the edge of this element in the timeline section and move a double-arrow icon to set the duration of elements. You can use this method to set the duration of your imported video as well. Also, the position of each element is movable.

Then, double-click or right-click the element in the timeline section and edit it using the options provided like “Speed”, “Reverse”, “Rotate”, etc. Click “OK” at last.

Note: you can add more than one elements to your video.

Add Image/Logo/Watermark to Video Clips

Click ‘Import’ to load images, logos, or watermarks to the Media zone. Click ‘+’ button on your wanted image/logo/watermark, or right-click it to select ‘Add to Project’, the image will be loaded automatically to the end of the video clip.

If you want to use the image as a watermark or logo that displays in the video, you can directly drag it to the PIP timeline. Double-click the image or right-click it to edit its motion and mask as you like.

You can adjust its size and position on the video by cropping the image and dragging it to right position. Then select the image in the timeline, move the mouse over the edge till a double arrow appears, drag the arrow left or right to set the start and end time for the image. Alternatively, select the image in the timeline, click ‘Set Duration’ (clock icon) to set start and end time.
