Register and Activation

In order to unleash the power of VideoCruise and enjoy all its services, you need to purchase this video editor first, and input an activation code sent to your mailbox to this software by clicking the button of Activate in the upper-right corner.

What if you edit a video before purchasing VideoCruise?

When this happens, how to activate VideoCruise and make exported files bear no watermark? Also purchase VideoCruise and click the button of “File” > “Save as” in the upper-left corner, and then save your file in .ve format. Afterwards, export and reopen your video, and there will be no watermark on it, since VideoCruise has been activated automatically after your money is received.

Settings and Configuration

After activating VideoCruise, you are recommended to click the “Three Dots” icon in the upper-right corner first. And then set the options of “Settings”, “Language”, “Tutorial”, “Forum”, “Product page” and learn more “About” this video editor like its version. On this panel, you can change the default photo/text/transition/filter duration, as well as aspect ration based on your needs. Home Interface: Five Edit Modes

When you free download and launch VideoCruise, there will pop up a window displaying 3 video aspect modes for your option: 9:16 (Portrait), 16:9 (Widescreen), 4:3 (Traditional). These are the common types that you might need.

Select your desired aspect, say 16:9, based on the original video aspect or the websites that your edited video will be uploaded to. Then you will enter the main feature interface. Click the Folder icon on the top right corner, you can open the project you have edited before.

Upper right the corner is a three dot  directing to Settings where you can set all relevant parameters as per your preference. VideoCruise also offers 3:4 (Taobao) and 1:1 (Instagram) for special use.

If you install and launch VideoCruise for the first time, there will appear prompts reminding you to use its basic function step by step.

Introduction to Main Features

Media/Audio/Text/Filters/Overlays/Transitions/Elements: These 7 tabs on the left panel enables you to apply audio/music, texts, filters, overlays, transitions, elements to the video clip you are going to edit. Media library contains all the media files (Video/Image/Audio) you have finished. You can sort them by Name, Duration, Type, Date Imported, Ascending, and Descending via the  icon.

Preview window: this in-built player will play the media file you have imported to the program, thus allowing you to preview the videos or images before, during and when finished so that all the modifications are just right.

Toolbar: On the edit space are necessary editing buttons, through which you can polish your media files as needed.

Undo: Click ‘Undo’ button to cancel the last edit you made to the media file.
Redo: Click ‘Redo’ button to restore the last edit you made to the media file.
Edit: Click ‘Edit’ button (the Pen icon) from the toolbar to edit video clip including playback speed, rotation, flipping, reverse (play backwards), and background color (choose your wanted color, add blur effect or custom image to video). If you are unhappy with the modified result, hit Reset to start from scratch.

Alternatively, go to ‘Edit’, the shortcut menu bar standing at the upper left corner, and click ‘Edit’ option directing to Video/Color Correction/Audio interface.

If you have imported your media file into the timeline, right-click it to open Video/Color Correction/Audio edit interface.

Meanwhile, Color Correction button enables you to adjust Contrast, Saturation, Brightness, Hue, Highlight, and Shadow by dragging the slider from left to right, and vice versa, to your desired value and effect.

Audio button allows you to adjust volume, turn up or turn down, by dragging the slider from left to right, or vice versa. Besides, you can apply Fade in and Fade out effects to make the audio more distinctive or realistic.

Split: Click ‘Split’ button to trim the whole video/audio clip into parts.
Delete: Click ‘Delete’ button to delete the chosen video clip, audio, music, image, text, filters, overlays, transitions, or elements.
Crop: Click ‘Crop’ button to resize the video screen size as needed.
Mosaic: Click ‘Mosaic’ button to add a mosaic to the video so as to hide confidential or unnecessary part.
Freeze Frame: Click ‘Freeze Frame’ button to freeze the frame and extend its duration.
Set Duration: Click ‘Set Duration’ button to set the start and end time to a certain effect so as to polish the media file to perfection.
Zoom: Zoom in and zoom out specific video clip to create special visual effect or to highlight certain details. You can crop and zoom certain part of the content as you like.
Voiceover: Click ‘Record Voiceover’ button to add a custom voice to the video, similar to dubbing feature. The recording will be added to the clip while the footage is being previewed from the window.
Speech & Text Converter: Click Speech & Text Converter to select the text and convert it to natural voice. Likewise, convert the audio to text by hitting the converter button. In this process, the subtitles will be automatically allocated to the timeline for your view.
Export: Click ‘Export’ button to export the media file you have edited or created.

Remark: The timeline under the toolbox, also called work area, is the place where you can edit all the media files.

Import Media Files

As a feature-rich video editor, VideoCruise enables you to edit video, audio, and image. It provides easy access to importing media file to the timeline for subsequent editing tasks. Just drag & drop media file or folder to the media zone.

You can also click ‘Import’ to import file or folder to the media zone.

Alternatively, go to File > Import > Import file/folder on the upper left corner, to load your media file to the media zone.

Delete File(s)

In the Media library, right-click the media file and select ‘Delete’ to remove the file you have imported. Mind that the file can be deleted from VideoCruise, but the original file still remains unchanged.

As the screenshot shown above, right-click the media file and you can do something else.

Add to Project: add the media file to the timeline.
Preview: view the file in the built-in media player.
Rename: create a new name for your chosen file.
Open the file location: check the exact file destination of the imported file.
Details: check detailed information of the loaded files such as video Path, Size, Duration, Video format, Audio format.

Export File(s)

Click ‘Export’ on the toolbar to export your edited file. Here are 3 ways to save the final project.

Export as a Project File

Right-click File > Save as to save the final file as a project for further editing. Next time when you want to polish it again, just open it the program. But the saved file is not a real media file.

Export as a Video File

VideoCruise supports 6 video formats: MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, MKV, and GIF. Premium Quality for HD output and Standard Quality are available.

Here you can rename the video file, choose output file directory and video format.

Go to set related parameters (tab the Wrench icon) as you like. Video encoder, frame rate, resolution, and bitrate are all under your control.

Export as an Audio File

MP3 and AAC are available to export your file as an audio file. You can rename the audio file, output destination, and audio format.

Click the Wrench icon to set audio parameters for the final file including encoder, sample rate, channel, and bitrate.
